Entrepreneurial Cancer

Posted on

Being an Entrepreneur takes a lot of guts and effort, yet when done right the rewards are massive!

The biggest challenge for most Entrepreneurs is keeping themselves focused and away from continually wanting to change everything in their businesses like policies, procedures, products, services, systems, pricing, etc.

It’s great to be creative but when you are continually making changes you will find that you start to grow a cancer in your business, because everyone else in your business follows your example, or should I say poor example. It creates a culture of continual change and is often seen by your clients as a business that is unstable and directionless.

The most important thing you can do in your business is have one song, sing it well and sing it often!

What I mean by this is that when clients call your office that they will get the same response to their questions no matter who they speak with – this is critical for your business.

If you do not have a common song clients and vendors will only speak to people they know they can get the best deal from, etc.

Take a little time out this holiday season to really look at what songs you are singing and ensure they are identical for all the people in your organization.
