Cut the Excuses & Start Getting Results!

Deliver Results, Not Excuses

There are only RESULTS or EXCUSES!

Some people are even talented enough at making excuses to have a pre-excuse before the actual excuse. When you want enhanced results from your business, you have to cut out the excuses and realize that there is no middle ground; it’s either results or excuses.

What do you want in your business?

If it’s results you are after, then you have to eliminate the excuses from your daily activities. I hear thousands of excuses of why things cannot be done, and here are a few of the key ones:

  • I am too tired.
  • I have worked hard this week and deserve some time off.
  • I just feel like staying at home with my family tonight.
  • They will have another event next week or soon.
  • Seven a.m. is too early to be at a meeting.
  • I like to sleep in and start meetings at 10 a.m.
  • I am not fully prepared yet.

Excuses are manmade reasons and hurdles that we place in front of ourselves, whether consciously or subconsciously, that constantly hold us back from achieving amazing success.

Listen to yourself on a daily basis and be fully self-aware of the excuses you are using that stop you from getting things done.

Another item that goes hand-in-hand with excuses, is a partner in crime with procrastination, and holds people back from achieving great results quickly is the word when. This word often keeps people from taking action and achieving results quickly. Here are a few examples of common “when” statements:

  • When I have business cards, I will go networking.
  • When my website is live, I will…
  • When my partner does ABC, I will do…
  • When I have the money, I will take risks.
  • When I can afford to, I will invest in…

When, when, when, when…just do it!

There are a ton more “when” statements that I am sure you have heard, and all they are doing is stopping you from going out and achieving results. There are always solutions to the above problems and hurdles that we put before ourselves; all you have to do is create the solution and do it. Do not let “when” hold you back from getting things done!
