Top 7 Reason why Business Owners FAIL!

If you are not succeeding in your business it’s normally because you are not doing one or many of the following:

1. You are not truly passionate about what you do!

2. Business with SOUL – Giving before receiving.

3. You have no Cash Flow plan for the next 12 months.

4. Your Follow-Up and Follow-through are poor!

5. You are focused on the PENALTIES and not the REWARDS – Your Mindset!

6. You do not get out and NETWORK enough or effectively!

7. You have no Business PLAN – even a basic one!

What you need to determine is WHY you are not doing one or more of the above items?

To have extreme success in a small business you need to have a mindset set for success with a well defined plan, passion for what you do – which means you get up with a bounce in your step every day, amazing opportunities to go out and Network and then an incredible system for Follow-Up and Follow-Through.

When we first started Make Your Mark Training and Consulting we were out at 12 – 16 networking events per week and immediately after the event that night or first thing the next morning we would be sending out personalized emails to people – not to solicit them but to connect and build relationship and see how we could assist them (yes, giving before receiving – paying it forward!). Still to this day we do 4 – 6 networking events per week – not only at our BEST Mindset Groups and MeetUps but at Boards of Trade, Chambers of Commerce and other events.

Paid networking events are great because they have different people at them and it’s way less expensive than advertising and people get to meet you in person. In fact, if the groups are larger than 30 we have 2 or 3 people go from the office.

Having no business plan and 12-month Cash Flow Predictor is suicide in any business – I always say when you first start out have a 1 year plan and a 5 year vision for your business, as you know that it’s going to morph and change during the first year as you get your feet on the ground.

Many of the 7 topics above are simple and easily understood – my questions is “Why do do many business owners not do them and expect amazing success?”

If you are not doing them, just start today! Not next week or sometime in the future – TODAY!
